Sure, your Mac tells you what time it is, right up there on the menu bar. But it's nice to be reminded of the time now and then without distracting you. Chimey provides a subtle reminder of the time.

Chimey comes with a selection of pre-recorded chimes, or you can use your own custom sound files if you prefer. Rather hear your dog barking than chimes? No problem!

What if you're listening to music?

Chimey can be configured to automatically silence chimes while specific applications are running-- like DVD Player or iTunes. Chimes will then automatically resume when you quit these applications. So it keeps quiet when you want it quiet, and starts chiming again when you're ready.
